The donkey returning to childhood and slow living

Today we need to reimagine the donkey as it was in our memories and our grandmother’s tales. Once, two out of three families used to have a donkey. The donkey and his owner used to head for the fields before sunrise and came back loaded with firewood or hay late in the evening. Children were eagerly waiting for the donkey to ride it or play with it.

Step by step, a hike with a donkey brings us back to that slow living from the past that we miss so much in our hasty contemporary world.

Meet our happy donkeys: Albano, Gastone, Gianni, Mario, Massimo, Gioacchino, Bortolo, Panna Cotta, Italo, Emilia, Romagna, Felicita, Ghergana, and Romina. Each of them has its character and hidden passions:

Character: The leader of the family is tough but fair. He loves people and is well behaved. He enjoys long walks. Hidden passions: He likes Romagna and he is often in conflict with Gianni, her other admirer, because he is jealous.

Character: She is tall and pretty, with silver spots. Noble Romagna is confident and a bit haughty. She has a group of admirers and a true friend in the face of Felicità who follows her everywhere.

Buk is a dog by passport and a donkey by nature. He loves dust bathing, eats donkey delicacies such as hay, carrots, and apples – and even cotton thistle. His curiosity often brings donkey kicks to his freckled nose when he tries our donkeys’ immense patience.

  • Posto magnifico per bambini. Happy donkeys hanno creato atmosfera di famiglia valorizzando le cose semplici che ci fanno sentire felici. Da non perdere una carezza sul muso vellutato degli asini. Torniamo prima possibile – i bambini si sono innamorati di questi animali sorridenti (Filip cercava sempre di vedere il sorriso del suo asino) e pazienti.
